i did a nice meditation this AM where a divine being walks on water towards me, filled with love. this divine being takes on many shapes. sometimes it's jesus, sometimes she's the buddha of compassion, sometimes he's an alien with black asian eyes. this AM she was a big old white stone buddha, probably chinese. those tricky asians work their way into my life all the time.
today i'm at my part time office job that i'm very lucky to have. i set my own hours and it's in a fun location in downtown chicago. i like the people here very much and being near office equipment soothes me.
tonight i teach yoga at LPAC and hope to see the darling gregg m, who also teaches yoga. we both love rod stryker's teachings. he's our yoga teacher with the mostest. sigh...i do love studying with rod stryker. when i told my korean mom that i study yoga and meditation she asked in her charming korean accent, "mia...dis yoga...is it deh-bill?" (meaning, "is it devil?" she's super christian). i answered, "no, mom...it's kinda like breathing and stretching. ok?" i love my mom. we're both nutty.
then i'm watching a footy game, austrailain rules football. i can thank G for exposing me onto these new things. guys running around in tight shorts chasing a yellow ball are too cute to even describe here. right? silly & cute to think of. right? totally.
& then, & then...our play, "the big tent" closes this weekend as part of the most fancy sketchbook festival. i just love this theatre company. i did a frikking fantastic play called "the intelligent design of jenny chow" with them 2 years ago & it changed my life in many ways. that was my first "real" play and ho boy, did i learn lots. i can still get so fussy when i do things and fussy i was during that long running show. i did love the experience so much. now i'm doing another great project with them! use code 261 to save $3 off tickets and maybe i'll get a prize, too. if i win something, i'll split it with you. fer rizzle. "the big tent" goes on tonight at 8. woohoo!
my back porch garden patiently, patiently waits for me to water her, re-pot her, fertilize her. the farmer's bean plants (really, that's their name) are already flowering! i wonder if i need bees for them to fertilize? meanwhile, i'm waiting for the gold finches to return. i cheaped out & left their feeders empty for too long. they all split the scene and now there's not a feather in site. sigh. they'll be back. i bought a $50 bag of nyger seed to ensure it.
