images have meaning

i've been researching the news story of the young lady who was shot in the heart in tehran during the recent election protests and thought about putting her picture on this blog to commemorate her passing. if you google "girl shot" images, all kinds of disturbing pictures come up.

here's why i didn't post the girl's image. first of all, we release prana (chi, life force, energy) through our eyes. i found myself staring at the bloody images of young women from all over the world and felt the prana draining out of me and anxiety building. i closed the web browser and posted a cosmos flower image instead because of the 2nd reason why i didn't post the girl's image. the idea of a yantra is to use a symbolic image for divine or spiritual purposes during meditation. i think that girl's face is becoming a yantra for the protest in tehran and i don't think that using her face this way creates positive energy. i don't get clean vibes when i see her. we still need to understand what's going on in tehran, but not through looking at her lovely face. instead, i posted this bright, beautiful cosmos flower in her honor and in honor of all who've innocently died. i'm confident that her next life will be filled with joy and an abundance of love since she served as a sad and shocking call for peace in this life.
