Check out this entry I found on Sears Santa Casting Call.
so, i auditioned for this role as a santa clause type for a nation wide, 4 month campaign and had a great time at the audition. i actually dig christmas. i'm not ironic or cool about it and i don't have to earn cool points from anyone...i like christmas! i have a shopping bag filled with an apartment sized tree and decorations that i've moved from place to place for over a decade. i decorate every holiday time and love the many christmas cd compilations i've collected over the years. i play them every year.
i'd love to win this competition and although it's not judged by popularity, i.e., how many "likes" there are or how many times a video is watched, i'm still reminding my friends every day to watch my video and leave nice comments for me. why not? can't hurt to show that people support me. and how blessed i am that people support me so much! i would love this gig because it'd be lots of fun, i could spread light to people by setting a good example of being a decent human being, and i would do great things with the compensation, like save money for my nephew's education, help my mom pay off her house, donate to so many non-profit groups (many of whom i donate to already), and i'd like to start or volunteer at a foster home. i've always wanted to help with kids in transition and kids without parents and the money i'd earn could really help with this. of course. there'd be a yoga program at the foster home!
it's not too early to say happy holidays. it's always a great time to share joy, peace and love. commercially drive or otherwise, the intent should be real. let's make it so!
