amen. ohm.

i've always loved churches and holy places. spaces used with the intention of worship are special. if you're still enough, you can feel their energy. the more intention towards worship that you bring to that space will obviously make it more sacred for you. here are some spaces i love:

This is the main Hindu temple in New Delhi. No images of holy beings here.

This is Moksha Yoga studio, my home base where I teach and where I've practiced since 2002.

To the right is a medieval church in Toledo, Spain. Just look at the effort.

I also love Chartres in France and the big ass Buddhist sculpture at a monastery in South Korea whose name I forget right now.

I make my home a sacred place of intention to be quiet and to talk to God, the inner divine light, Chenrezig (Tibetan Buddha of compassion). I take my shoes off when I'm hone. I light candles to symbolize divine light. I meditate and practice yoga in my living room in front of my shrine. I invite friends over to commune over tea and warm food. Most importantly, holy spaces should be made internally, as well. Our internal spaces can be more beautiful than any church or temple ever created!
