"Loneliness is less about isolation from others and missing their would-be love and more a symptom of being disconnected––the same noxious seed for so many other ills of the heart. The solution is to listen to your inner spark that needs no thing and no one to be content. Searching for what no one other than you can heal will only fuel your troubles. Just rest and take your medicine from your heart’s joyful roar." - Yogarupa Rod Stryker

it's nice to hear these words right now. my heart is sore from romance issues and mid-life contemplations. although, i feel stronger and more confident than ever. not so long ago, i'd be tremendously sad and distraught under the same conditions. right now, i'm better focused, better prioritized, more happy, and more healthy than ever before. but emotionally (which is really a function of the mind, according to vedantic yoga), my yoga teacher's quote makes my heart feel better. my inner spark says, "practice yoga right now, then have a gluten free muffin that you're baking as you type." inner spark, you're so right! see ya soon, blog.
